Chris Etherton

One of the joys and challenges of getting old(er) is learning from one's 'children'. As I look forward to the next phase of my christian ministry, non-stipendiary (horrid phrase)curate, one of my big concerns is that people are thinking 'curate'= fulltime assistant for vicar. And I have to earn a living somehow. But doing what? So far, anything that's a remote possibility seems attractive, only because it pays some money. Thanks, son: I need to learn to live with the uncertainty, to not panic, to wait for the right paid work for my skills to come up. Yes I still need to look, of course. But with faith and patience (lovely girls).
