Thanks to American friends for a link to Crazy Fads - exploring some of the cultural fads of the last 80-90 years... Though it's from a US perspective, yes I remember... Rubik's cubes (own up, who just gave up, took them apart and put them back together, rather than spend ages trying to do them properly!...), friendship bracelets (a girlie moment I know, but I'm OK with it!), and one of my favourite pairs of shoes I own is one pair of these shoes though in the much classier Red!
Though am worried to note that bleached hair is described as 'This fad was popular with high school and college students. Many just bleached their tips. This fad really caught on in the mid 90's and continued into 2000.'... AND BEYOND, THANK YOU!...
Anybody willing to admit to other crazy fads?
i really think you need to delete your comment about friendship bracelets. I think that's an admission too far!!!!

I didn't know you could the sticker thing! Yes - I did take it apart - and then it was (a) obvious that's what I'd done, and (b) it never quite worked as well again!

You actually took your rubik's cube apart? I just pulled all the stickers off and put them back in the right places. Surely that was the much easier option?
